Anyway.... getting back on topic, I've heard that the impetus for people being arrested for loli is that they actually have CP or were caught grooming.

Like I remember two lolicon cases that kept getting posted around various places to fearmonger that Big Brother is coming after loli drawings..... but it turned out the guys had good reason to get arrested. One had actual CP mixed with the lolicon, and the other was sending sexual messages to a person under 12 years of age.

And that's how it should stay. If it's not actual child pornography being found, and it's not pedophiles messaging 9 year olds playing fornite to perform illicit sexual acts, then loli drawings should never be illegal.

That's not "mentally challenged". Being a child isn't the same as being mentally challenged. Height challenged or growth stunted would be more accurate.

Do I think loli will become illegal? Well… personally I don’t think it will, at least not right now. I don’t see much momentum to make it happen.

There is too much nuance. People can’t even agree on what a Loli is, conceptually. Some people think Rebecca from Cyberpunk is a Loli, which I disagree with for example, because being petite doesn’t make you a child. Lolita clothing exists, which is a fairly normal style of fashion

I don’t trust the old fucks in seats of power to do that much diligence and I also don’t trust degens to refrain from drawing toddlers in thongs. I believe insulating lolicon is still a net negative on society, even if there’s no physical harm.

Long story short: there will be a legal conflict eventually but not right now

US law temporarily made loli illegal, regardless of claimed age.
It was up to a jury to judge age based on appearance.

Can happen in cases of real human photographs and videos as well. If there is no assurance of legal age made in the video itself, the jury itself will have to decide.
Such a case happened in Puerto Rico where an American jury may have almost convicted a man on those grounds if not for his attorney giving a subpoena to the actress in question.

It doesn't matter if it becomes illegal when the federal government colludes and cooperates with corporations such as Google to create profiles of the online activities of every single internet user, both domestically and abroad. They track everything you click, everything you scroll, and how long you spend looking at something.
